A collaboration project “PLANET OF METAL” by ASTERISM, a heavy metal band with many overseas performances, and Acky Bright, a globally active illustrator, will start. 

ASTERISM and Acky Bright met at Anime Expo (AX) held in Los Angeles in July 2023 and hit it off. Acky Bright drew the art based on the story they created together, and ASTERISM produced the music based on that image. The music will be released digitally on May 22 (Wed.), 2024. 

In addition, a series of goods featuring this project will be produced. The first items are a T-shirt featuring a mechaskal, the key to the story, and a set of stickers featuring the mechaskal, the project's limited edition logo, and the project's jacket visual. Both will be sold in limited quantities and released on May 25, 2024 from FOX_FEST, where ASTERISM will appear. 

After that, various plans to boost this collaboration are said to be in the works, and will be updated on the special website (https://planetofmetal.com) as needed.

◆ Prologue
Welcome to PLANET OF METAL, located at the edge of the galaxy. A mysterious curse is causing the creatures here to go berserk. According to legend, this curse comes from a Mecha Skull hidden on the planet. 
ASTERISM, along with Zom-chan, a zombie they rescued during their travels, set out to stop the curse and bring peace back to the desolate planet. However, their journey is impeded by monsters influenced by the Mecha Skull. 
The battle to control the Mecha Skull and save the planet’s core essence, its metal soul, is about to begin. 

◆ASTERISM's Comment
PLANET OF METAL” is an unprecedented project that creates scenes of fighting six enemies from both a musical and artistic perspective! 
We tried to compose each song with the feeling of defeating each enemy, but the closer we got to the last boss, the higher the hurdle of composing became, and we became the very characters created by Acky. 
Please enjoy this one-of-a-kind collaboration between ASTERISM and Acky Bright! 

◆Acky Bright's Comment
This album was produced in a session format where music and art were created simultaneously. 
It was quite an exciting time to work with the overwhelming talent of ASTERISM. 
The result is a work on a large scale, which is typical of our activities on the world stage, and at the same time, it is a metaphor for our own continuous challenge to the world. 
We hope you will enjoy the current state of ASTERISM and Acky Bright.
